Retail News and Notes
- As we go to press with this week’s FF, we are entering the final countdown to our Annual Awards Luncheon.
- The CRMA big event this year will be held on Oct 16th at the Bushnell Theater in downtown Hartford and we can’t wait!
- We will be honoring 2 great retailers and an outstanding public servant.
- Pilgrim Furniture & Mattress City is this year’s winner of the CRMA Retailer of the Year The Retailer of the Year is the highest honor that CRMA can bestow upon a retail and Pilgrim Furniture is a worthy winner of the award.
- Not only are they a 3rd generation family run retailer; they enjoy an exceptional reputation with outstanding customer service, employee relations and a reputation for giving back to the communities they work in.
- We are looking forward to honoring Pilgrim Furniture & Mattress City at our luncheon.
- We also will be honoring a new entry into the retail scene in CT; one that is rapidly expanding, fulfilling customer needs.
- This year, we will be honoring Your CBD Store, with a special award, our CRMA Emerging Retailer of the Year.
- Your CBD Store has eight retail locations in the State, and they have quickly put down strong roots in the communities where their stores are located. We are excited to honor them as well.
- Finally, we will be recognizing Rep. Jason Rojas (D) East Hartford, as our Legislator of the Year.
- Rojas is a dedicated public servant in all the right ways. He is always thinking of how he can do his job so that it has a positive impact on the State.
- For CRMA, Jason’s door is always open, and he is understanding and helpful in our efforts to advocate for retailers at the State Capitol.
- Rep Rojas joins, Sen. Len Fasano (R) North Haven and Rep. Vin Candelaria (R) North Branford as recent recipients of the CRMA Legislator of the Year award.
- And oh yeah, we almost forgot – Governor Lamont will be joining us as well!

- So, email cathy@ctretailnetwork.com after you register so that your question for the Governor gets included.
